Every Man Jack- Personal Time Outside & Why Earth Month Doesn’t End Today
Are you planning your Personal Time Outside? Find our why Earth Month doesn't end Today. Every Man Jack is launching its PTO Campaign to encourage you to take a break from work, spend more time outdoors and embrace nature's mental and physical benefits.

Let’s get one thing straight: Earth Month doesn’t end today. It’s not about trading your logo for a green one or swapping in bamboo cutlery for the last four weeks. If you’re a business executive or entrepreneur, you already know: real sustainability isn’t performative. It’s structural. It’s systemic. And above all, it’s personal. The Earth doesn’t need our compassion. It needs our stewardship.

Real Leaders Are Purpose-Led
In a world that prizes quarterly returns and rapid scale, there’s something radical about businesses that choose to build differently. Men who choose to lead with integrity in how they treat the planet and the people on it, are reshaping not only what companies do, but what they mean.
Gerry Chesser, CEO of Every Man Jack, is one of those leaders.
“At Every Man Jack, we don’t just talk about sustainability—we live and breathe it in every aspect of our business,” says Chesser. “The outdoors is our inspiration, our source of strength, and our responsibility.”
It might sound like a slogan but this is a real philosophy embedded in Every Man Jack’s origin story and DNA.
Founded over 18 years ago at the base of Mt. Tamalpais in California—where clean air, trail runs, and conscious living collide—Every Man Jack didn’t wait for sustainability to become mainstream. They built it in from day one. From using naturally derived ingredients to ensuring bottles are made with 50% post-consumer recycled materials, they’ve prioritized clean, accessible, and effective men’s care, without compromise.
“This Earth Month, we’re inviting people to take time for themselves outside,” Chesser continues, “while also thinking about the choices they make with products and how it impacts the world around them. We’re committed to making positive impacts on both the planet and the lives of those who enjoy it.”
That commitment isn’t just branding but better business impact.
Nearly two-thirds of Americans aren’t using all of their paid time off, and last year alone, 5.5% didn’t take a single day off.* As burnout continues to rise, Every Man Jack is launching its PTO Campaign—a call to step away from the desk, reconnect with the outdoors, and experience the proven mental and physical benefits of time spent in nature. The campaign, kicking off on Earth Day and running through the end of June, will feature several exciting initiatives, including:
- Consumer Hashtag Sweepstakes inviting consumers to take time off and share their #PTOwithEMJ experiences on social media for the chance to win the ultimate summer trip to Jackson Hole, WY.
- Creator “Tourism” Campaign enlisting ambassadors across the country to film nature explorations to inspire followers to get outside and share their experiences using #PTOwithEMJ.
- Giving Back to Places that Inspire by partnering with an expanded group of environmental organizations to protect the places its audience loves, including:
- The Surfrider Foundation to support coastal preservation and reducing plastic impact in marine ecosystems
- Tree Canada to grow resilient ecosystems and healthier, greener communities
- Ongoing support for the National Forest Foundation, which will plant 25,000 trees to offset its carbon footprint, and One Tam to help protect and restore Mt. Tamalpais, home to Every Man Jack’s headquarters.
The Earth Is Watching What You Build
Whether you run a venture fund, a supply chain, or a social impact startup—your choices echo. Not just across the market, but across generations.
If your children or mentees were to study your company ten years from now, would they see a blueprint for sustainable innovation? Or a monument to convenience and unchecked growth? The best founders understand that legacy is not just about what you leave behind. It’s about what you set in motion.
That’s why brands like Every Man Jack resonate. Because they don’t just create products—they create permission. Permission for men to care about what goes into their routines. Permission to care about where those routines leave the planet.
It’s Time to Redefine Masculinity as Accountability
There’s a cultural shift happening led by men who don’t flinch from responsibility.

Men who understand that strength is not about domination, but stewardship. That protecting something—whether it’s your team, your community, or your ecosystem—isn’t weakness, is strength. Every Man Jack has never sold a fantasy. They have sold simplicity, honesty and connection to something real. That’s why their products are formulated without parabens, phthalates, GMOs, dyes and why they’re never tested on animals. It’s also why they’ve achieved B-Corp certification. Afterall, transparency and accountability are the currency of trust in the next economy. And trust, make no mistake, is the new capital.
Earth Month: Don’t Be Loud. Be Clear.
You don’t have to be an environmental activist to lead sustainably. You just have to be someone who doesn’t settle for business-as-usual. Earth Month isn’t a time to gesture. It’s a time to build.
Ask yourself:
- Does my company nourish or deplete the world around it?
- Are my values visible in my supply chain?
- What kind of leadership am I modeling—for my team, my family, my future?
This month, the men who matter won’t be the ones talking loudest. They’ll be the ones changing quietly, deeply and intentionally. Earth Month isn’t a campaign for men who lead with vision, it’s an opportunity to show the world, and the next generation, what real strength looks like.
